Angel Baby Kit A Baby Spa in a Box

A week before Christmas, I won an Angel Baby Kit from Earth Mama Angel Baby! If I am correct it was their first giveaway on Twitter and I was their first winner! Pretty exciting since I hardly ever win anything (don’t we all :) And on top of that, I have heard wonderful things about their products. I have not met a bad review from this company. Before I delve into my own experiences with the Angel Kit. Let me give  you the 411 on who Earth Mama Angel Baby is.

The EMAB team is made up of doulas, nurses, herbalists, childbirth educators and more. From their About Us webpage:

“We use the highest-quality, certified-organic or organically grown herbs and oils for our teas, bath herbs, gentle handmade soaps, salves, lotions and massage oils. Our products are 100% toxin-free, cruelty-free, vegan, and free from all artificial preservatives, fragrances and dyes. Our commitment to honor the earth and her valuable resources extends to our packaging as well - we use only eco-friendly recyclable or reused/reusable packaging and packing materials. It's true - we are even the proud recipients of the BRAG (Business Recycling Award Group) for our green practices.”

The Angel Kit is no less than a spa in a box for your little one! It boasts of six items:

  1. Angel Baby Shampoo & Body Wash, which is a castile soap that contains organic coconut oil, a wonderful oil for skin (as well as dietary uses)
  2. Angel Baby Oil, which has two of my two favorite oils, Grapeseed & Jojoba (in that order).
  3. Angel Baby Lotion, a beautiful combination of vanilla & orange scent
  4. Angel Baby Bottom Balm, a product I continuously hear wonderful things about, contains a combination of wonderful healing oils such as Tea Tree oil, Calendula & St. John’s wort  to name a few!
  5. Angel Baby Sleep CD to create that calming mood for the fussy one
  6. Angel Baby Bath Blossoms a combination of herbs such as Lavender, Rose petals, Oatmeal and more for a herbal bath for the baby!

The Baby Bottom Balm is my absolute favorite. It truly is a salve that can be used for various skin conditions for various ages. I’ve used it on just about all of my children aged 4 months to 16 years. I absolutely love it! The Baby Bath Blossom is just so luxurious! The smell is heavenly and I truly feel as if I am treating my baby like the little princess she is!

I get the sense that this company is all about the love, support & care for the mamas and their babies! I get the feel that their ingredients are selected with care and precision. When it comes to my knowledge of herbs and oils, it isn’t vast. I am learning as I go, but I concur with all the ingredients in these products.

There is one ingredient that stands out to me. In the Angel Baby Lotion, organic Rooibos is the second listed on it’s ingredient list. Rooibos is a tea found in Southern Africa. I have been drinking this tea for my indigestion issues (which is so HELPFUL), but this tea has so many benefits. It has iron, calcium along with some vitamins, but the one thing about this tea is it has cleared up my skin. My skin is so smooth and my pores are tight! In all of my experiences with organic products for babies or otherwise, I can safely say that I have not seen this herb incorporated and I am truly impressed that Earth Mama Angel Baby incorporated it in their products.

On another note, Rooibos tea is not only safe for breastfeeding moms,  and is caffeine free, it helps colicky babies as well. If you’re interested in Rooibos as a tea, please buy it fair trade certified to promote better trading conditions for the hard working people who harvest these teas. Trader Joe’s sells Ruby Red Rooibos tea organic, fair trade and at a decent price.

Every Friday Earth Mama Angel Baby gives away one of their products on Twitter. Follow them on Twitter to win! @EarthMamaHQ

If you rather not take your chances of winning, you can purchase your own Angel Baby Kit. EMAB gets two thumbs up from this mama!

UPDATE: I won another giveaway from Earth Mama Angel Baby on Twitter yesterday! This time around it was Monthly Comfort Tea! I guess lightning does strike twice! Thanks to EMAB for these giveaways!
