Thanksgiving Tips For The Breast Feeding Mom
Wishing all of my readers a wonderful, blessed and fulfilling Thanksgiving! Whether you're the eternal host (like me) or the infinite, ravenous guest, here are some tips to consider during your holiday.
Avoid consuming excessive amounts of Sage. Sage is known to reduce your milk supply. Consuming a regular amount will not affect your supply, but you may want to notify those who plan to cook to use sage in a reasonable amount. See Sage Tea & Tincture
PROBIOTICS FOR DIGESTION
Probiotics are not only safe, but helpful to breast feeding moms. Go into battle prepared! Take probiotic, in any form, yogurt, capsule, drink etc. before the the meal. Read More about Breast Feeding and Probiotics
ROOIBOS TO THE RESCUE
A nice cup of Rooibos tea will soothe that achy tummy. Rooibos is naturally caffeine-free and is considered a balm for the belly. Rooibos is good for children as well. Not to mention it's full of antioxidants and minerals like Iron and Calcium. Make sure you add Rooibos to your shopping list! Read More about Rooibos and Breast feeding here.
May your feast be filled with good times and good memories!
