Support Fair Trade Month & Win The Complete Line of ONE WORLD Organic Lip Balms by Eco Lips!

October is Fair Trade Month!
I discovered the Fair Trade mission a few years back when buying tea. It became important to me to buy my Rooibos, a South African tea, Fair Trade certified. Doing this simple act of buying a certified tea, that I typically keep in stock, gives me such a good feeling knowing I am lending my support to empower South African women.

What is Fair Trade?

Fair Trade USA is the leading, non-profit, third-party certifier of Fair Trade products in North America. They certify transactions between U.S. companies and their international suppliers to ensure that fair trade farmers and workers are paid fair prices and wages.
This non-profit ensures that employees have safe working conditions and development funds to empower and uplift their communities. Fair Trade USA also helps to protect and support the environment by encouraging companies to maintain responsible and sustainable business practices.

The Fair Trade Impact!
  • Protecting the environment – Farmers learn and implement environmentally sustainable practices.
  • Building business – Workers are empowered to demand fair wages and treatment.
  • Empowering women – Women are guaranteed healthcare, rights and freedom from harassment.
  • Supporting education – Revenues are set aside to build schools.
  • Fighting poverty – Farmers are given market-based tools to lift themselves out of poverty.
  • Providing healthcare – Workers and their families gain access to doctors, medicine and proper nutrition.
The ONE WORLD organic lip balm line, features three, theme inspired balms. ONE WORLD is created and manufactured by Eco Lips, right here in the USA. Eco Lips fuses Fair Trade Certified Cocoa Butter with exotic, organic, essential oils, and other nourishing emollients. In support of Fair Trade month, we are giving away the FULL line of ONE WORLD balms to a winner!
Lemon Lavender – Soothing essential oils of the Mediterranean to calm and RELAX.
Coconut Ginger – Tamanu oil, native to the south pacific is paired up perfectly with organic Coconut oil and Ginger to RESTORE dry, damaged lips.
Orange Spice – Organic Argan oil, Sweet Orange, Fennel seed and Cardamom are inviting scents of Morocco to RENEW and rejuvenate your lips.
The balms are packaged in large .25 oz tubes made from 40% recycled material. My personal favorite of the line is Coconut Ginger. What a heavenly scent!
This is a petroleum, cruelty-free balm and made with Non-GMO ingredients.

  2. I would love to try lemon lavender. It sounds relaxing. for some reason at nights , my mouth gets dry the most, so with it be relaxing I would love to try. I do not know enough about fair trade to pin point a product I like. Fair trade means the workers or makers, got the right amount of money, and were not jipped out of anything. I hope that sounds right!

  19. First I would like to try the Orange Spice the flavor sounds great. Fair trade to me means the workers are paid the right amount for there product and not take advantage of. Good example of this is coffee I know the farmers have a long way to go before everything is equal but at least with coffee it is a start.

  35. I've sought out fair trade items ever since visiting a co-op of women in Central America that sells their products via fair trade organizations. The different projects that grew out of their weaving business are amazing. The families escaped poverty, the kids went to school instead of begging in the market- a common sight elsewhere in the town. Love to see companies like this one marketing fair trade products and I'd love to win :)
