Quick Engergizing Breakfast Eat Tip
In search of something fresh and filling, I made guacamole for breakfast
the other day. While it was fresh, it wasn't very filling (or
appropriate, although I dare say that freshly prepared guacamole is a
hundred times better than any processed quick breakfast meal on the
market)
So today I made oatmeal a bit differently. Using "Steel Cut" Oats from
Trader Joe's prepared, I used:
~ ½ tsp. Of Himalayan Pink Salt (Good salt! Add to the boiling water.)
When the oatmeal is cooked add:
~ Organic brown sugar to taste
~ A dash or so of cinnamon & nutmeg
~ A dallop of virgin, organic coconut oil (provides energy!)
~ ½ tsp. of vanilla extract
Mix throughly!
You can add fresh (or frozen) blueberries. I happened to have candied
pecans and threw those in. Yum-lish!
Because it was filling, I only needed a small bowl. If you're a tea
drinker, a cup of Yerba Mate can boost the energy levels even more,
adding to the nutritious quality of the meal.
If you've tried it, tell me what you think. :)
